It's April 1935 and Babe Ruth is a player-coach for the lowly Boston Braves. He is 40 years old. He wants to manage the New York Yankees, but this will never happen. The greatest baseball player of all time isn't considered to be smart enough to be a manager.

This picture was taken before a Braves-Red Sox ehibition game.

On May 30, 1935, Babe Ruth played in his last professional baseball game.

Line-Up for Yesterday

R is for Ruth.

There's just no more to be said,
Just R is for Ruth.
